I love Taste of Home books, I have several of their books. I have had this one for a couple years now bought it through the Taste of Homes mailings when they send me their mail.My mom was diagnosed with cancer last summer 2021. She lives in a different state. Last summer I made her 25 freezer meals, in foil pans (2 meals per foil pan for a total of 50 meals), i put them in a 50 gallon coolor and drove them to her...last Fall my brother moved in with her to help her, his wife passed away due to covid, he works full time and he has a 7 year old son. He doesn't have time to cook when he gets home and our mom doesn't have the energy to cook.I remembered about my favorite Taste of Home book (this one) that I love and use often with a family of 6. Amazon to the rescue... they had this book!!!! I bought it and had it shipped to her house. She loved looking at the pages, but that was the extent of it.Unfortunately, it has been 7 months since I bought it for them (one of the Christmas persents i had sent) I have asked several times if they made anything, and they haven't. That's to bad.I find this book to be very well organized, opens easily and stays open since it has a circle binder, but is hard cover all the way around. Pages lay flat. Recipes are easy, delicious. As a visual person/ learner, i appreciate that all these recipes have a picture. I also like the fact that they use foods that are common and I have heard of.Will, definitely buy again for a beginner cook, college student, large family for quick and easy meals (they also have meals for 2 people) or for a mom like mine who doesn't have the energy to cook. The book is there, I just wish they would use it and lay off the store bought freezer meals and realize the benefits of this book!Will definitely buy for when our kids go out on their own!!
