Description

Ordinary People Surviving Extraordinary Times Now that Camp Eastwood has electricity, life has become more comfortable at the survivor settlement. There's still plenty of work to do however, and Walter and Sheriff Rollins know they cannot become complacent -- especially while Chris and his tribe continue to grow their numbers deep in the forest. His hatred for Walter remains undiminished, and he just waits for the right moment to exact his revenge. Meanwhile, a terrifying new force arrives in the Cohutta, one that shows no mercy to anyone who stands in their way. Powerful and ruthless, they establish their own camp, imposing martial law on any group that resists. Well-armed...highly-trained, it appears no one can defy them. They're called...the Militia. With strong, original characters that jump off the page, this is a fast-paced story that fans of post-apocalyptic survival fiction will appreciate.

Enjoyed this whole series of books- with each one I finished, the next one had to be read ‘right away!’. The characters throughout were all done well, especially my fave, Jonah! In this last book my favorite parts were with the Crowhawks. Thought their ‘tribe’ was an original idea to mix in with the other characters. My only criticism would be the ending. Wish the author gave more closure to some characters like those at the Bar K & the four who escaped from it. Also wished for a better visual of how Camp Eastwood & Benton ended. Did they win at Bar K? If so, what’s the result? Do they keep the Bar K?? Otherwise a fantastic story that keeps you thoroughly entertained!
