"[Thich Nhat Hanh] shows us the connection between personal, inner peace and peace on earth." --His Holiness The Dalai LamaNominated by Martin Luther King, Jr. for a Nobel Peace Prize, Thich Nhat Hanh is one of today’s leading sources of wisdom, peace, compassion and comfort.Exiled from Vietnam over thirty years ago, Thich Nhat Hanh has become known as a healer of the heart, a monk who shows us how the everyday world can both enrich and endanger our spiritual lives. In this book, Jesus and Buddha share a conversation about prayer and ritual and renewal, and about where such concepts as resurrection and the practice of mindfulness converge. In this unique way, Thich Nhat Hanh shows the brotherhood between Jesus and Buddha-- and in the process shows how we can take their wisdom into the world with us, to "practice in such a way that Buddha is born every moment of our daily life, that Jesus Christ is born every moment of our daily life."

Another wonderful book by Thich Nhat Hanh. Understanding both the Buddhist teachings and Jesus teachings what a great way to look at the world how both can learn from each other. I myself am Christian and I wanted to learn more about Buddha. I went to a Buddhist temple and talked with a Monk about How does one understand Jesus or could if one wanted to understand Buddha. He told me he loved Jesus and that one of his favorite books is this one explaining the beauty of both faiths. If you have always wanted to know more about Buddha but you love Jesus. This is one of the best books i have read respecting both faiths. Nhat Hanh tells the reader about his understanding of the Holy Spirit both as a Buddhist and Christian. What does it mean to be in God's presents as a Buddha and Christian? He encourages meditation for both Christians and Buddhist. Most importantly he points out that Jesus himself Meditated. Meditation is finding quite and stillness in the heart so you can speak and hear the Creator. This is partly what the early Christian church did but has been lost in so many versions. In my opinion, the Orthodox still practice meditation not just on the word but on Jesus and on stillness. I believe he wrote this book to break down Prejudices against Buddhism and Christianity so that both faiths can live in peace and learn from one another. I hope you are blessed when you read this as his heart reflects a very spiritual leader and lover of all mankind. LOVE-ONE-Another.
