I rarely review books on Amazon, but I felt compelled to do so for Come Home: finding comfort in who you are. This book offers the full menu of what we need to truly grow: inspiration, the opportunity to explore, love, and specific instruction on how to make it happen for you. I loved the Wisdom to Bring Home sections, and the clear yoga instructions. Nothing ridiculously complicated that she offers, but clearly coming from a place of deep experience and insight. She has distilled things into usable options for the lay person. The author feels like an old friend - someone who truly cares about me and where I am in my life. Her stories are compelling and relatable, which made me feel a level of trust that most books aiming toward self-help don’t offer. The author has truly done the research, pulling quotes of many of the most trusted and inspirational leaders of not only yoga, but philosophy, and religion. You can tell that she leans into the ayurveda philosophy, which I have leaned into as well throughout life - not only for myself, but for my children’s health. I would recommend this book to anyone willing to explore a new path that will involve humor, gratitude, self-awareness, sadness and hope. Megan’s ability to intertwine her life experience with her practice makes for a great read - and ride. She led me home.
