You can never go wrong with a Jacqueline Woodson book. My 5th graders love to hear and discuss her books. Her stories are rich and have many themes for lively classroom discussions. I have all her picture books (and other novels) and absolutley love them. I had the privledge to meet Ms. Woodson in 2009 at a book conference at San Houston State University along with Christoper Paul Curtis. Both...amazing speakers and writers. Don't hesitate buying this book for your library.
