I was turned on to this music by my boyfriend. It is not the genre of music I normally listen to, so I was not expecting to like it; It is one of my favorite CDs now. Even without considering the fact that the music was written so long ago, you still feel the groove, and the lyrics. The music was written at a time that the world was changing -- choosing peace instead of war, love over hate, environment over the comforts that destroyed our natural resources, and less instead of excesses. These magically crafted lyrics cover all of these issues. One song deals with reincarnation; another deals with Charles Manson and his misfits; Whether you are a child of the 60s, or just a fan of those times -- this CD is a must have. The Internet provides interesting history on Timber's members; they are first class musicians -- some received their musical education in college and others just learned it in their garages. Some of the members of Timber have achieved mainstream success and others are still just rocking; Lucky for me, they came together in the late 60's / early 70's to put this magical CD in the stream of our world.
