I use it as a small desk for drawing and occasional computer use.I like the desk overall but the drawer doesn’t fit well. You can see a gap between the top and base but you have to look for it.This computer desk is well made and the right size for today's small footprint desktop. I use the keyboard tray for a plat bed scanner. Even with a keyboard on the desk, there is still ample workspace on the desktop.I like the desk which is clean and minimalist. It appears solid wood and sturdy. The price was under $100 so it was worth it. The issues are it came with a broken wood piece on the underside that held one side of the keyboard table. Since i did not intend to use the keyboard table, i just turned the piece around so it faces the wall. The broken piece did not affect the aesthetics or integrity of the desk. Second the color was close but not an exact match to the Winsome Corner Desk which i purchased first and why I wanted to get this item. Third there are some small impact indentations on the table top. I will keep the piece but don't know if I would have purchased it if I knew of these problems, especially the color mismatch.I chose to purchase this desk because it was simple in design, fit the dimensions I needed, and was wood. The wood is very beautiful though I question whether it was sustainably harvested. The finish is a nice color, though there are imperfections along the desktop, marring etc but nothing serious. The desk was easy to assemble. It isn't very well made, though is sturdy enough for my purposes. The base of the drawer area was fastened in places with staples that were too short for the job, so the base was detached on one side on arrival. We had to remove the staples, and drill screw holes and use screws and wood glue to fasten the base. The pulldown front of the drawer scraped the bottom of the pullout keyboard tray, so we had to raise the keyboard tray to create additional clearance. These were simple fixes for us to make, though if you don't have the tools, skills, etc. the pullout keyboard tray might not be functional once assembled. The price was reasonable considering that the desk is made of wood, and I don't regret purchasing it. The box WAS damaged, as others reported, but the packaging of the desk parts was good, so the desk itself wasn't damaged. We received this table last night and had it assembled and put into use in about 20 minutes. Here is a quick summary of our findings:POSITIVE- Despite what some other reviews indicated, the packaging was excellent and the table arrived without any damage. The corners were protected by wooden blocks and there was enough styrofoam and plastic sheeting to protect the exposed surfaces properly.- The table was very easy to put together - Just two nuts per leg using the included spanner. Note you will need to provide your own Philips-head screwdriver to install the knob on the keyboard tray cover door.- The assembled table is tight and stable - no squeaks or ill-fitting parts (except for a few things listed below)- The assembled table looks great and generally the finish is good - excellent value!NO-SO-POSITIVE- While the tabletop was generally ok, I noticed there were several areas where wood filler was used to fill out blemishes that might have been in the wood to begin with or added during the manufacturing process. I don't mind the occasional spot of filler, but in this case at least 5% of the surface was filler and that too in a mis-matched color so it stood out. More attention could have been paid to minimizing the need for filler or at least using one that works with overall grain. I should point out that once you have your monitor and other stuff on your table-top, the fillers don't stand out as much.- More attention could have been paid to the finish of surfaces not visible on the outside - for instance the drilled holes underneath had all kinds of burrs and chips that could have been sanded away very easily. There were also a few splinters along the bottom edges that you'll have to watch out for when you assemble the table.- The keyboard tray could have been put together with a little more attention to detail - the track is a little mismatched, so the tray is wobbly when it is all the way in. So while it works fine when it is all the way out, it takes a little extra effort to pull it out initially.I would have been happy to pay an extra $20 to have these blemishes sanded/filed away - just putting that out there in case the manufacturer is listening.Overall I'd highly recommend this as a no-fuss computer table as long as the dimensions (height) work for you. We use it for a 27" Apple LED monitor as well as a few books and things and it works well and looks great.Je suis satisfaite du bureau bien qu'il manquait la quincaillerie (vis, écrous, ect.) pour assembler le meuble. J'ai dû compléter le formulaire en ligne de la compagnie concernant ce manque. J'ai reçu la quincaillerie 2 semaines plus tard: assemblage très facile.-Le seul point négatif concernant le bureau est la finition du tiroir: chacun des côtés à été mal scié et il y a des éclats de bois manquants.A few days ago, the desk arrived in perfect condition. The honey finish is just lovely. This desk is all wood and very solid, well designed, finished, and well put together. Nothing tacky. No disappointment here. I am very pleased. The scale and detailing is appropriate. It was a delight to receive this desk with the computer drawer hardware already installed. Such a relief! The setup of the desk was so simple - basically attach the legs and the drawer knob - piece of cake! Moreover, I was so thankful to not see any black screws or anything thrown in that is black, which would have been utterly inconsistent with the design character. I was so impressed that I went to look for more furniture by the manufacturer, Winsome Wood, and found the matching bookcase, which I will order with complete confidence. Yes, indeed, a good purchase.I think this desk is really good value for the price of $148. I had it shipped to Iqaluit, NU and given the free shipping, I consider it a really good deal. The desk is heavy and attractive, made of solid wood. I put it together myself in under an hour, following the clearly pictured instructions. The included wrench is OK but I used a proper wrench to tighten the tension grips nicely. The wood panels for the desk tray were loose but my husband tightened those for me and then the tray fit perfectly, sliding in and out with ease. The screw for the knob is a little short, I replaced it with a longer one which tightened the knob in place perfectly. The desk came with instructions for care - wood polish, no glass cleaner - which is what I would have used, actually - so I appreciated that. Desk looks pricier than it is. Nice. Thanks.Bought this, the corner table and the filing cabinet. Very easy to assemble and looks great! Hard wood so very sturdy. I use the keyboard tray to store my laptops and mouse so they don’t have to stay on the desk. Love it!The finish & colour was what I expected. However, I was extremely disappointed with the following:1. The box of accessories (screws, bolts, and washers) was crushed in the packaging which meant they were all scattered throughout and nestled into the creases of the cardboard box. I spent an e significant amount of time opening, removing the packaging and account for each piece.2. The keyboard tray is poorly designed and continues to fall off the railing, when completely retracted, not to mention is now scratching the wood surface.3. Holes were re-drilled into the door to align with the bracket.I was, however, pleasantly surprised that the assembly was much easier than what I expected, except now that I need to find a solution to the tray which keeps falling off the rails.
