I was excited to try Fonte but it was over-roasted and bitter! It literally tasted like a high-production, low quality bean! (Not that I drink those intentionally, but they creep up every now in then...) The bag does not specify the roast level. I reached out to the them and I was told it was a city roast. It is roasted beyond that. It is much darker like an Italian or French Roast. The last 2 photos are cold brew started and then ready to filter. It really shows how darkly roasted the beans are. For my money if I want a dark roast I will purchase Café Umbria Arco Etrusco. It is less expensive and nearly identical in flavor, without the bitterness.
