Description

Minnie Gardner returns to Laramie, Wyoming after eight long years. The shy poor girl from the trailer park, who lived with her drunken father and brothers, has changed into the confident Dr. Gardner, the new principal of one of the high schools in town. Adam Monroe knows Minnie as the girl who rejected his brother’s love and who left town and her friends without looking back, animated only by her ambition. As the owner of an auto service business, he repairs her car, but tries to ignore the attraction he feels for Minnie. Coming home after such a long time is never easy. The town and its people have changed and life is full of surprises. Was it a good decision to return?

Very sweet story set in Laramie Wyoming. Coming back home after many years is not easy for Minnie, the newly appointed high school principal. Professionally she achieved what she wanted, but she gave up love and her brother had died in an accident while she was away pursuing her studies. Is she going to find love and be able to close old wounds? Like in all Vivian Sinclair's books there is a lot action and suspense to complement the love story and I could not let it down until the last page. The characters are full of life and the plot is full of surprises.Although this is a stand-alone book, it has references to events described in her previous series Summer Days in Wyoming. Surprisingly, the sheriff deputy Lockhart, who had not been not depicted in a very positive light in the previous series, becomes now a likeable person and one cannot stop rooting for him. I very much enjoyed reading this book.
