We bought this bench as a place to store outside shoes and garments and provide a place for people to sit while they put on those outside shoes. The look, quality and functioning of the bench is very good. And the price was excellent, too.Assembly, however, was a bit of a challenge. The instructions are entirely pictorial and perhaps not quite adequate for someone who is not fairly handy and/or accustomed to putting these things together ala Ikea. The baskets and drawers have very little assembly required. So that is a blessing. The real challenge was in putting in the cam bolts and cam locks. I broke 5 of the cam locks trying to get them to catch on the protruding cam bolts. Fortunately, my local hardware store (not big box) had replacement cam locks of even better quality. The trick, I finally realized, is not to screw the cam bolts in too far. Be sure to leave enough of the bolt protruding so that the cam lock has something to grip and lock onto. I was screwing the bolts down too far in an effort to be sure they were tight. That's a mistake you should avoid. If you do, putting this bench together will not be difficult, especially if you have someone to help you from time to time.
