One of my favorite moviesLove how John Candy and Ugene Levey team up to fight crime. Love this movie.Its a John Candy classic.I like the video.brought back memories, thanks.Great and fun movie. John Candy and Eugene Levi definitely do not disappoint and have beautifully aligned comedic chemistry.Just so you know where I am coming from......I am a MOVIE NUT!!!!!! I would rather watch a movie than do about anything else. It is to the point where it is hopeless!!!!! I have to clean out a shed in my back yard, and all I am thinking about is..." why isn't there something in here that I can watch a movie on! Surely it would make this task a lot more enjoyable!" Thanks to phones and Ipads and such, I can watch a movie in my car! Now, folks......that is pure, unadulterated luxury as far as I'm concerned!!!! There is nothing better! This movie is one of those that I watched in the theater many years ago (well, not THAT many)...and I loved it. I bought this movie from Amazon a few years ago and watch it all the time. It is hilarious. It is about two guys-one who used to be a lawyer and one who used to be a police officer. The lawyer was sort of forced to stop practicing law because he was scared to death when he had to represent a very scary murderer (so he made a deal with the judge during the trial) and the police officer started to arrest two fellow police officers who were stealing TVs (he was fired). They are out of work after that and meet at Guard Dog---a company that provides security officers for various businesses. They then go through the training and get put together as partners. When they were on their first assignment, they see a crime going down and mayhem ensues. If you love John Candy movies like Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, and Summer Rental, you will like this movie. When I want to watch a movie to just escape for about an hour and a half, I watch this movie. it isn't The Godfather or Casino---a movie that makes you think or end up wondering what this world is coming to--, but it is enjoyable and one of John Candy's best!Candy delivers as usual. Funny movieGreatAh, the 80's comedy. An era and genre loved and hated by those who were there at the time and looked back at with amusement all these years later. Luckily, this film falls into the 'good' camp. Who can not enjoy seeing the usually mild-mannered-and-repressed-dad-from-American-Pie Eugene Levy dressed up as a gay biker camping it up for all he's worth with a transexual John Candy trading banter with each other while trying to evade the cops? This movie has loads of memorable scenes such as this with easily likeable characters, well defined good and bad guys and an easy to follow plot. Its not easy to create good character gags over a short space of time, but this film manages to do it and avoids a lot of the traps that other 80's comedies did by relying on visual and verbal gags alone. It's nothing new but its definately worth buying to see more than once.This movie is a classic 80's comedy if you ask me, with a nice bit of action in it too and a good story. John Candy and Eugene Levy are great together as the odd couple partnered as security guards with John Candy as an ex-policeman who loses his job and Levy as a lawyer who is not doing too good in court, and also has to seek another job. They both end up working for a security company where many of the people who they take the introduction course with arent the best recruits to be security guards. But that is also what makes this movie so funny, not just the main characters but the people around them! If you like John Candy and Eugene Levy this is a must see, and if not just watch it to have a great laugh.Brilliant film and good quality and funnyA great film. Very funny. A must for John Candy fans. I have always enjoyed his films and this is no exception. Plenty of action with plenty of hilarious senarios.Great film
