these books are wonderful, it is like living in the family as you read, they are just wonderfully written, there is no sex! in any of them, you live their lives with them through the 2nd World War and after. No swearing as I remember, any one could read them and not be offended unless you didn't like The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But it would show you they are no different than any other family trying to raise their family in a time of war and after and it even gets you directly into the war in Germany and the Islands and Japan. It is about a family and you can watch the children grow up and the things they went through during the war and after. I think there are 7 or 8 books all together
