Like a few other reviews, there were a few set-up glitches, but now that the thermostats are set up they are working great. We have a 2 zone HVAC system in Florida, a second home, and monitoring the systems from the northeast is great. On set up, I used the Amazon installation service, requested at the time I ordered the 2 thermostats. Installer was great, he installed the 2 units in about an hour, and took it as far as the thermostats were Wi-Fi enabled and I could see them on our network from an Ipad. Regarding the infamous “C” wire, the old thermostat did not have one, but behind each unit was a blue wire that was tied off and not used. That wire became the C at the unit, and he also connected it back at each air handler. Immediately, the thermostats were working for standard manual use. After the installer left, I downloaded the app and tried to complete set up. I tried several times to “register” each thermostat, but the job failed each time. I called tech support and got a fantastic rep to help correct the problems. The primary issue was that each thermostat was not actually logged on or authenticated to our Wi-Fi network. He walked me through the set up and the thermostats became active for wireless control. I probably could have completed the registration process myself if the user instructions had been better. All is well now and the 2 wireless Honeywells are working.
