Description

The #1 Sci-Fi Film of all time! Visually spectacular, intensely action-packed and powerfully prophetic since its debut, Blade Runner returns in Ridley Scott's definitive Final Cut, including extended scenes and never-before-seen special effects. In a signature role as 21st-century detective Rick Deckard, Harrison Ford brings his masculine-yet-vulnerable presence to this stylish noir thriller. In a future of high-tech possibility soured by urban and social decay, Deckard hunts for fugitive, murderous replicants - and is drawn to a mystery woman whose secrets may undermine his soul. This incredible version features the definitive Final Cut of Ridley Scott's legendary Sci-Fi classic.

"Classic" is an overused adjective when it comes to movies, but this film isa classic science fiction yarn based on a Phillip K. Dick novel of a different name.Ridley Scott did a masterful job directing this 1982 science fiction thriller and Harrison Ford iscompellingly complex as the burned-out police specialist tasked with eliminating the almost-humanandroids who sneak back to Earth from colonized worlds in the galaxy, even though it's a death sentence for them to do so.Rick Deckard (Ford) wonders why the androids would face almost certain death ("retirement" is the euphemism used regarding androids) to return to Earth, which is only a shell of its former glory after a cataclysmic war. Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Brion James, Joe Turkel, Daryl Hannah, M. Emmet Walsh, Edward James Olmos and Joanna Cassidy round out the cast. Interesting view of a futuristic, post-nuclear war Los Angeles.
