These look pretty good and are nice and heavy. However, when I received them there was a one by half inch chip off the base. It clearly had not happened in shipping and had to have been there before even being packaged. The packing was almost pointless with all the bubble wrap already popped and the thin styrofoam broken. I'm going to try for a second set, but if I can't get an unbroken set then quality and appearance are a non-issue.Edit: The second set I received arrived unbroken. However, the end needed to replace the one with a chip out from the first order has an extra lump of material on the bottom not allowing it to sit flat. I'm going to be trying for a third set. Third time's the charm?Edit: The third set I received had a tail completely broken off. This, of course, was the end that I already received with a chip out and then the extra lump of material on the bottom. I'm either going to return all sets and keep none, or just live with an unsteady bookend.
