Unfortunately, I had to replace my faithful chair. I read the reviews and choose this due to my weight and height. I wish it was in leather. Easier to clean.I'm confident it will fit and big or tall person. Not to mention someone over weight.Comfortable, easy to assemble but a second person is needed or helpful. The reviews were true. The motor is extremely slow. Start early if you have to go to bathroom. In addition at times you have to push the back to lay flat. And it won't stay in that position. However it's very comfortable for any big and tall person. Just don't have extremely high expectationsSo far I'm pleased with the chair. I wanted an oversized recliner because I'm tall and wanted plenty of room to stretch out. I wanted a power recliner because I have medical issues that make me too weak to operate a manual one. The first chair delivered was defective. The motor gave out in mid-recline on the third day I owned it. As there is no manual backup to return the chair to seated position, I needed assistance getting up and out of the chair and it wasn't a safe or easy maneuver. Amazon immediately sent out a replacement chair, which works just fine so far. Unfortunately the company contracted to pick up the defective chair gave us the runaround. The driver showed up hours before the scheduled pickup time window and we were not home to meet them, then lied about coming back at the proper time and us not being home. Our security camera shows no truck returning at the proper time. This resulted in rescheduling and frankly a big hassle. I have no fault with Amazon, but the delivery service they contracted to do the pickup was unprofessional and unreliable. The chair is worth it so far. Very, very sturdy. I love the rocking function, I feel completely secure with no fear of tipping. There is very little shifting and creaking when I get in or out of it. I have no doubt that it will hold the stated weight limit. The seat is a bit firm but I added a soft blanket for extra cushioning. It's a nice looking chair, however it takes up a lot of floor space. We thought about ordering a second one, but will wait to see how this one wears over the next several months before we do.Amazon and the delivery company had no clue what in the world was going on with the delivery. I received a text message 10 days before it was due to be delivered, after 6 pm at night, saying it would be there before 8 pm. Of course it wasn't. I called the delivery company when they opened the next morning and they informed me that it was with the company that delivers in my state and they would contact me in the next 48 hours to set up delivery. 30 minutes later guess what? Here it was, being dropped off in front of my garage by the truck.I was thrilled it was early, my parents were visiting so I had help getting it inside and a good chair for my father to claim as all his. But communication could definitely be improved. How is the chair? Very simple to put together, it just needs 2 people to snap the back on as it's bulky and would be hard to position with only 1 person trying to hold up the back and get it lined up correctly. The chair is on the stiff side, not one of those sink into the cushion types. But that's a good thing for a big and tall chair. It's comfortable, the action of raising and lowering the footrest and reclining is smooth and is at a moderate rate. The chair itself is very heavy and sturdy. It doesn't have any problem with a large individual using it on a daily basis. I have had it for 4 weeks now and I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone else.I've been looking for a chair with a high weight capacity and would be sturdy enough to last several years. I haven't had the chair long enough to determine if the latter is true, but based on my limited experience so far it seems like it will.I decided upon this model because it is a rocker and for the power option. Because the chair is really designed for tall people (I'm only 5' 8"), I didn't want to risk being unable to reach the lever on the manual version. The power controls are placed higher, just below the right arm.As for comfort, it's okay. The seat cushion is a little too firm for my liking, but it's not terrible. At 5' 8" my feet don't touch the floor when sitting in this chair. Because I'm not able to stable myself with feet on the ground, the chair leans back too much when I'm sitting in it. This is due to the chair being a rocker and isn't stationary. For this reason, I must recline the footrest about 1/3 of the way so that the chair remains upright when I don't feel like rocking. Somewhat annoying.I also wish the back and footrest could be adjusted independently instead of at the same time. This would allow me to adjust the chair exactly how I want it. Other than that, I like the chair and seems perfect for sitting long periods of time daily.I am 6 feet tall and 260 pounds. I feel a little small in this chair. I have purchased 3 of these chairs. The back of the chair locks into the base. Only one would lock into place. The other 2 have never locked into place. This just does not matter unless you go to move the chair just a little bit and the back comes lose. One of the ones I purchased was a manual recline and other other 2 are power recline. Loved the manual recline better. The power takes a very long time to let you out of the chair. It might be made this way so it will last longer but I have a smaller chair from the same company for my wife and hers is 2 times faster and it has lasted for over 5 years. Might be just the size of chair not sure. Over all good buy for the $$$ price. This thing is a tank! I'm 6' and weigh 370 and destroy chairs. This thing doesn't move when I do. The cushion is firm but has to be with big people. If you kill recliners like me this is the chair for you
