Having been a florist for 20 years and knowing my style very well, I can tend to be rather critical of floristry books. However , this book delivers on every level. First and foremost it is a beautiful book in its own right...it could take pride of place on the coffee table with ease. Secondly , artistically it is outstanding...inspiring and innovative but without trying to be too 'tricksy'. The flowers remain natural, wild and uncontrived......I love this book.I bought three copies of this attractive book for my sisters-in-laws' birthdays. Each of them is an active garden club member who arranges for shows and for entertaining at home. Rave reviews! Sisters were most impressed with the use of flowers and greenery from an average yard to yield stunning and unusual floral arrangements. I am now buying a copy for myself on their recommendations.Gorgeous book!I love this photographer! Her settings are beautiful and the flowers are everyday arrangemnts that I can put together instead of exotic plants. Currently I have a obsession for Peonies and there is a delightful section about this bush.I bought this book as an inspiration for some painting ideas. It is a stunning book that transports the heart and soul to beautiful calm places. It sits on a rustic bench in my family room always ready to be enjoyed. A wonderful book with truly beautiful photographs.I love the content and the beautiful photography. The author gives wonderful ideas for flowers and other elements that can be taken from the outdoors. I appreciate the examples given at the end of the book with step by step instructions.The best photo is the cover photo. I was so looking forward to seeing other floral arrangements that compared or showed such exquisite combinations as the front cover with the Café au Lait Dahlias and fillers. The rest of the book is full of photos of one flower variety in a simple vase. It was like a one hit wonder with nothing else inside that compared. As a student of floral classes/landscape design it made my book on Michael George floral designs and practical technics shine. I wanted a floral book that could show me great ideas and different floral styles and this book did not delivery. Wish I could get my money. Yes, it is a great coffee table photo if that is all you are looking for in a book.Beautiful book.This is a fantastic book - in fact as much for the photography and styling as for the ideas and its creative approach to using botanical displays in the home.Guided by what is available in each season, the book provides an array of inspired ideas - from delicate wildflower clusters to gloriously flambuoyant cascades of blooms, all showcased by the elegant styling of the images.Nicolette Owen's arrangements are superb - she puts together floral creations that are strikingly dramatic and yet at the same time appear so natural that they almost look gathered straight from a hedge. You don't have to copy her exactly to be able to replicate the feel of the arrangements here but there is enough practical direction in the book to provide ideas and a fresh approach to using seasonal flowers and plants creatively.I love Ngoc Minh Ngo arrangemts. This book is full of inspiration. Some arrangements are very simple some complex but they all show aspects of the flowers that I havn't noticed before. I keep coming back to it again and again.Gorgeous book with interesting information on history of flowers and flower arranging. Lovely photographsthis is an amazing book about flower arranging, beautiful flowers and stunning photos, I love the style that the book shows, a little bit vintage, and very elegant!This book was originally bought as a presente. I didn't really know what to expect as I don't know much about flower arranging, however all the images are beautiful. It's a great idea that the books goes through all the flowers for the season.
