I was talking to my partner about this film and he said he had never seen it, which is totally unacceptable! So I ordered it and in a flash it arrived, in perfect condition and well packaged.The film is utterly hilarious. Matt (Josh Hartnett) has a painful break-up and responds to his heartache by sleeping with anything that moves.. He's hit with an epiphany that he needs to change his ways because he is heading down a dark path. He makes a vow to be celibate for 40 days and 40 nights.Of course, this is when Erica walks into his life and they find a connection which is incomparable to anything he had with his ex, Nicole. However, he is committed to his secret vow of chastity and the poor girl is wondering why he never makes a move.The film is based on the journey of their awkward, "PG" level new relationship, the hilarious efforts of all those friends who set up a sweepstake on the odds of his failure (and their attempts to make him fail on their chosen bet-days!) and the tactics he and Erica use to get close without.. getting close!Let's just say, you will never look at a petal in the same way again!
